The Busy Trap

Taking the time to do nothing often brings everything into perspective” Doe Zantamato

In this modern life which can be so fast paced it can be easy to fall into the busyness trap. We can get caught up rushing from one task to the next all day everyday without ever taking time to stop, rest, do nothing, allowing the body and mind to quieten. For many this may allow them to gain a new perspective on what is and isn’t important, essential or a priority to promote a healthier and thriving life.

For many being busy can be part of what deteriorates their health. Never creating a space or time in their daily or weekly routine to allow their body and mind to rest; to have time to settle and take stock of how their life is passing by. For many they almost seem like they are the passenger not the driver in their own life’s choices.meditation_sun

Taking time to do nothing for many maybe a hard thing. They have built nervous system patterns around being busy. The initial stopping, out of exhaustion may be bliss but often this patterned busy mind will begin to chatter and feelings of guilt for being unproductive rise and assault you. Knowing that this will come but also will pass with a little mental persistence and patience often will bring a new perspective on everything you do in life and all that you are. This new found perspective may allow you to build a new and different way of doing life that provides fulfilment, inner peace and a greater expression of health and wellness.

Could you take the time to do nothing to see if it brings a new perspective on everything you do?
